I am very happy to announce that we will be putting out a selected discography cassette of the great Videosforpictures work up until now. Let’s call it a best of, of sorts. 

If you’re fatefully unaware of who V4P is yet, quite frankly, you’re missing out. It’s primarily a solo project of the young Jay Lancaster, a New England youth, currently residing in Poughkeepsie, New York. He has been home recording his stuff since i’ve known him, his first EP ‘Very Three’ barely audible sometimes, having been recorded on a rubbish old video recorder. His work is a poignet collection of melancholic, foreboding, confessional and technically diverse and beautiful piano led songs. Somewhat in the vein of Thom Yorke when hitting the piano keys, but still distinguished and unlike a lot of modern music anybody hypes about. Almost baroque in a lot of ways, with folk influence, noise influence, rock influence and general balladry (in the best sense of the word).

He has been making music since about 2007, and has been one of the only artists I have ever known to be so consistently great with everything he has put out…and yet he is still completely unknown, only having just over 71 likes on Facebook. It’s a crime. 

This release is a bid to get this brilliant musician some attention, attention he dearly deserves and has been long over due for many years, despite his talent, dedication and individuality. 

The release will contain music from all of the releases he has put on in the past:

Endo Fanera (a collection of songs written between 2007-2009) 
Anomie Family Brain (2011) 
It’s Fine, It Happens (2011) 
10 Minutes With…Videosforpictures (2011) 
Joy Farm (2012)

He did release another EP quite recently called Good Dream Revised (2013), but I wont be putting any songs off there onto the discography. 

I hope you guys will like what you hear, because I fucking love this guy and I am privileged to know the dude. Please download his EPs, give him some Facebook likes, share this page with your follows and post about it on Facebook. Make it your life’s work to get Videosforpictures more damn attention.

Hi every1.

While I have been wasting time trying to get a university education, I have had very little time to dedicate to Cheesus Crust. Plus, given the fact that nearly every good band right now already has a trusty label with a larger budget than I (*sadface*), putting together new releases has seemed hard.

However, I am in the works of putting out a tape of ACKACKACK Reco rds owner and skuzzmaster Ivan The Tolerable. The release is a 24 minute collection of 17 sweet sweet bangers, bleaching your speakers with home recorded, lofi skuzzy garage punk, all held together with catchy, catchy, fast melody.

Meet Me At The Beach Skulls by Beach Skulls.

I only caught this video an hour or so, and it’s fucking slick as hell.

With the help of the talented Josh Patmore (brother of Charlotte Patmore, responsible for most of Beach Skulls’ photography). Get on it. Gave them their copies of the single (this one, in fact) and about 30 logo patches. While we’re prepping the release of the next Beach Skulls tape (apologies again for the delay, but it’ll be worth the wait, trusts), I’d like to announce that we’ll be putting out the next release of badass lofi garage punk bastard IVAN THE TOLERABLE.

A prolific musician, throwing out quick and catchy and skuzzy garage in the vein of Thee Oh Sees, Ty Segall and Lost Boy ?, we’ll be bringing out a 17 track tape in the near future.
